I'm a bassoon player based in Amsterdam with a passion for playing together

After completing my degree in engineering I decided to follow my heart and persue a carreer as a professional bassoon and contrabassoon player. In 2023 I finished my studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam in the bassoon studio of Simon Van Holen, and I'm still developing my craft.

My musical journey has led me to perform regularly with professional orchestras and ensembles throughout the Netherlands and abroad. From easy listening chamber music to contemporary repertoire or big orchestras, I'll always be happy to take on a challenge.

While I enjoy playing both instruments, I've developed a special taste for the contrabassoon. I'm drawn to its unique role as a foundational voice that sits at the very heart of any ensemble.

Beyond playing

I maintain a small teaching practice where I share my passion for bassoon with the next generation. My background as a engineer is still relevant for my part-time job and projects on topics I find interesting and important, but not so much for this website. Maybe in the future.
